Since 2018, many students, parents, and families have participated in Impact Service Trips to Botswana and South Africa.

“You can start changing our world for the better daily, no matter how small the action” - Nelson Mandela

Dream it.

It all began with an idea. Families take vacations every year. What if a service trip, that was also a vacation, was offered for members of the school community to participate in? Organizing a trip that allowed for participants to make a difference for people in Botswana and South Africa.

Build it.

People want to GIVE BACK! It is human nature to want to help others. Working with a variety of partners, including Galaletsang Primary School in Gaborone Botswana, the Botswana Humane Society, and the Cheetah Outreach Centre in Cape Town, this idea was about to come alive

Grow it.

For three consecutive years, this service trip has grown into a successful venture for students, their parents, families, friends, educators, and community members. Connecting and building relationships with one another at home and abroad.

It is three fabulous trips in one.

We are so fortunate to have been part of the Africa 2020 trip with Darren Donaldson. Darren is a master organizer and safety is always the priority. It was a special treat to go to Botswana and teach in the school. We would never have been able to engage with kids and make an impact if we were traveling as tourists. Lastly we were at Kruger to see the big game. The hotel was a dream with elephants grazing just beyond the pool fence. The tour guides were super knowledgeable and shared many personal stories that made the park come alive.

Judah and I loved Capetown, the top notch food, and the hotel on the harbor. Robben Island was on my bucket list and I was thrilled to be able to give my son a hands on account of the recent history of South Africa.

Darren makes fundraising and preservation a central theme throughout the trip, for the children, the cheetahs, and the environment. The Africa trip was a truly valuable and unforgettable experience!
